Their music is as hard core as hard core hip hop can get ... sometimes referred to as the Wu Tang of the South, their last album was banned in 32 states, mainly for the hot single, "Tear The Club Up", hence the reference, the Tear The Club Up Thugs.

The mission here was a simple one ... wardrobe styling. Becuase I'm not familiar with the Memphis area, I flew in 2 days prior to the video to get a feel for the group as well as where to pull clothes from. Fortunately I had a great assistant named Susan who lives there and she made things work out quite smoothly. As you know, hip hop is universal, but here in the South the boys and girls have their own ideas, as they do everywhere.

Gaining trust from a group that knows you as the guy that worked on the Outcast project where Andre wore shoulder pads and ski boots made life a bit more challenging. Nevertheless, we worked everything out and the group was happy. The biggest challenge o' the day was transforming Tear the Club Up Thugstress, Gangsta Boo into a princess like thug ... with the help of her hairstylist, we did it ... check out the photos and the video ... "Who Runnit."
