outkast..."STANKONIA"

OUTKAST...I mean what can you say about Stankonia that has not already been said. This was their biggest album to date, and certainly the biggest project for me...It's projects like these that make me enjoy the ATL even more.

The mission... prop styling. Most times when working with Outkast, no personal clothing stylist is needed, so I was curious as to what level art Director DL Warfield from Goldfinger wanted my skills for. After a few phone conversations with Dre & DL it was clear...To hook up the royal concept that the boys had come up with. As you can see in the photos, the black and white American flag was not originally conceptulized to be the album cover, but due to the powerful statement that it made, all were in agreement that it should be the cover...of course LA Reid had final say.
